Hawkins Parnell Promotes Mark Hsu to Partner-in-Charge of New York
May 8, 2025 (New York City, NY) – Hawkins Parnell & Young has named Mark Hsu as partner-in-charge of its New York office. Hsu was among the founding partners who opened the Hawkins Parnell office in 2013, and has been instrumental in the office's expansion in product liability, mass tort, employment, and commercial litigation.
With over 25 years of litigation experience in New York, Hsu represents domestic and international clients across a range of high-stakes issues involving product liability, commercial disputes, employment matters, and insurance coverage litigation. He also serves as outside general counsel to startup companies, advising them on a broad array of legal, strategic, and corporate issues.

Hsu has extensive courtroom experience in state and federal courts, managing cases from inception through trial and appeals. He has been notably influential in the product liability arena, serving as national coordinating counsel to Fortune 500 companies in complex mass tort litigation. He has successfully managed tens of thousands of cases nationwide for manufacturing and premises defendants.
Fluent in Italian, Japanese, and French, Hsu actively contributes to the legal community globally as the North America Regional Officer and Outreach & Education Officer for the Young Lawyers' Committee of the International Bar Association. He frequently presents on topics including resilience, emotional intelligence, and career development within the legal profession.
Hsu earned his J.D. from Washington University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University. He spent over 12 years at Kasowitz before joining Hawkins Parnell. Prior to his career in private practice, he clerked for two years under the Honorable Judge Lawrence R. Leavitt of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada in Las Vegas.
