Trager L. Metge

Biography

Trager Metge delivers a thorough and strategic defense across a wide range of litigation matters. From initial evaluation through trial, he is committed to achieving effective results while maintaining a focus on efficiency and cost control. Trager partners closely with clients to assess the issues that drive a case’s value and outcome, providing clear, practical guidance throughout the process.

When early resolution is warranted, Trager is skilled in preparing dispositive motions, negotiating settlements, and guiding cases through mediation. He has secured dismissals with prejudice, favorable summary judgments, and settlements significantly below client expectations.

His practice focuses on product liability and premises liability, with additional experience in commercial disputes, construction, municipal defense, and transportation claims. Regardless of the matter, Trager believes that success comes from mastering the details and building a defense grounded in precision and preparation.

Trager lives in Chicago’s West Loop with his partner, also an attorney. Outside the office, he enjoys running, cooking, and swimming in Lake Michigan when weather permits.
