January 19, 2024 (San Francisco, CA) – Hawkins Parnell & Young partner Danielle Lewis in the San Francisco office was mentioned in Law360's "Legal Lions Of The Week" for her role as local counsel in securing a dismissal in two class actions involving allegations of tampons containing harmful PFAS.

Stinson LLP and Hawkins Parnell & Young LLP triumphed on Jan. 12 after a California federal judge granted Edgewell Personal Care Co.'s motions to dismiss two putative class actions that contended that certain types of tampons have harmful "forever chemicals." U.S. District Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín of the Northern District of California held that the cases were deficient because the plaintiffs failed to introduce sufficient evidence to "nudge" their claims "from possible to plausible," according to the order. Edgewell is represented by Megan McCurdy and John Moticka of Stinson LLP and Danielle K. Lewis of Hawkins Parnell.
