Texas Court of Appeals Reverses Trial Court in Favor of Hawkins Parnell Client

September 23, 2021 (Dallas, TX) – Hawkins Parnell & Young appellate specialist Rob Gilbreath prevailed in an appeal to the Court of Appeals for the Fifth District of Texas in Dallas. His clients appealed from a trial court order vacating their win in an arbitration proceeding. The trial court held that the arbitrator should have granted a motion for continuance sought by the opposing party. The Court of Appeals reversed, holding, among other things, that the appellees failed to preserve their complaint that the arbitration should have been delayed.
