Rob Gilbreath Named to D Magazine's 2024 Best Lawyers in Dallas

April 30, 2024 (Dallas, TX) – For the eleventh year, Hawkins Parnell & Young partner Robert Gilbreath was selected to D Magazine's 2024 Best Lawyers in Dallas as one of the top appellate lawyers.

Rob chairs Hawkins Parnell's appellate group and has handled more than 200 appeals nationwide in federal and state appellate courts. He is among Texas's most highly recognized appellate lawyers and has argued in numerous appellate courts around the nation.

In 2024, Rob has been involved in important cases all across the country. Two weeks ago, the firm argued on behalf of a law firm client in the Supreme Court of Georgia against attempts to broaden the statute of limitations on malpractice claims pending a ruling. Last month, in the Washington Court of Appeals, he successfully defended a large global manufacturer against an appeal of a defense verdict with approximately $85 million sought. He also secured a reversal of a $15.6 million verdict against a property management company in the Fifth Court of Appeals of Texas in January.

After graduating from Baylor University School of Law, Rob was a law clerk at the Texas Supreme Court. He is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is the former Chair of the Board's Appellate Exam Commission. He is also a founding member and trustee of the Texas Supreme Court Historical Society.
