Rob Gilbreath Argues Venue Issue in the Fourth Court of Appeals for the State of Texas
March 1, 2012 – Press Release
March 1, 2012 (San Antonio, TX) – Rob Gilbreath argued a case to Texas' Fourth Court of Appeals on behalf of JPMorgan Chase Bank. This mandamus proceeding involves a venue issue: whether the case should be tried in Tarrant County or Karnes County. This is the first case addressing the Texas Property Code's venue provision for suits against trustees after the 2007 amendments to the statutory scheme. A similar issue is pending in the Supreme Court of Texas in another matter in which Rob Gilbreath represents JPMorgan Chase Bank.
