October 16, 2025 – Press Release

October 16, 2025 (Atlanta, GA) – Hawkins Parnell & Young partner Evelyn Fletcher Davis is receiving DRI's Davis Carr Outstanding Committee Chair Award for 2025 in recognition of her leadership as Chair of DRI's Asbestos Committee.

The award recognizes a current or former Committee Chair whose committee has successfully achieved its objectives, including presenting effective seminars and producing high-quality publications, increasing committee membership, encouraging broad member participation, including minority participation, creating and implementing new projects, and ensuring all necessary leadership positions are filled.

Davis has been a leader among the asbestos defense bar for nearly two decades, serving as Chair of DRI's Asbestos Medicine Seminar since 2008 and Chair of the Talc Litigation Seminar from 2019 through 2023 before integrating it as a special session within the Asbestos Medicine Seminar. Last year, she established DRI's Asbestos Committee and spearheaded the creation of 30 specialized subcommittees with distinct initiatives.

Davis represents industry leaders in high-stakes product liability and mass tort litigation nationwide. She manages sprawling litigation as national coordinating counsel to numerous global corporations and has secured favorable outcomes in thousands of cases. Whether handling a high-stakes trial or appeal in the federal courts or changing the litigation and legislative landscape, she is at the center of advancing the interests of businesses and the entire defense bar.

The award will be presented to Davis during the Closing Celebration of DRI's Annual Meeting on October 17.
