Amicus Brief Filed in the Supreme Court on the Constitutionality of Georgia's Punitive Damages Cap

February 21, 2020 (Atlanta, GA) – Hawkins Parnell & Young partner Martin Levinson co-authored an an amicus curiae brief filed in the Supreme Court of Georgia by the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association (GDLA) on the issue of the constitutionality of Georgia's statutory punitive damages cap. Marty is Vice President and Amicus Curiae Committee Chair Emeritus of the GDLA.

The case is Alonzo Reid v. Lakenin Morris and Keith Stroud, Supreme Court of Georgia, Case no. S20A0107.
