Edward J. White

Biography

Edward White is relied on by global corporations and manufacturers to manage and defend product liability and mass tort litigation nationwide. For more than two decades, he has served as national coordinating counsel to public and private companies facing thousands of lawsuits across the most challenging U.S. jurisdictions.

Based in Philadelphia, Ed brings hard-earned insights from one of the country's most active mass tort venues. His practice spans the defense of emerging product risks in developing areas of litigation to legacy claims involving asbestos, chemicals, and toxic exposures. His clients include conglomerates and companies with a wide range of products used by consumer, industrial, and military end-users.

Clients value Ed's ability to anticipate plaintiff tactics, streamline operations, and align local counsel, experts, and corporate representatives under a unified defense strategy. He designs comprehensive litigation strategies that aim to reduce costs, minimize redundancy, and ensure consistent work product and defense positions across cases. By working closely with corporate counsel and insurers, he builds tailored solutions that prioritize proper risk assessment, efficient resolution, and defense themes that resonate with judges and juries.
