David J. Kolmel

Biography

David Kolmel is a former U.S. Army infantryman and paratrooper who served one tour of duty with the 82nd Airborne Division in Afghanistan in 2002. Upon returning from the Army, Dave returned to school, first completing a degree in Philosophy at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and then attended the University of La Verne College of Law in Ontario, California.

Since moving to Georgia to practice law, Dave has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in matters of business disputes and construction litigation, as well as HOA litigation. He also has significant experience in arbitration.

Dave has substantial background in the courtroom, and while he enjoys litigating in court, he prides himself on working together with opposing counsel rather than immediately seeking combat with them. At Hawkins Parnell, Dave now applies his extensive courtroom experience and emphasis on detailed discovery practice to handle the defense of high-risk premises liability claims, complex transportation litigation, disputes related to construction and design issues, and product liability claims.
