Biography
Courtney Lockhart is an accomplished litigator with over two decades of experience representing clients ranging from global corporations to small businesses and private individuals in complex litigation matters. She has also served as in-house counsel, providing valuable insight into corporate litigation strategy and risk management.
Courtney consistently achieves favorable outcomes in high-stakes disputes involving commercial litigation, catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, municipal liability, premises liability, and product liability. She has litigated and successfully negotiated settlements involving tens of millions of dollars in potential exposure, as well as significant reputational risk.
Her extensive litigation experience spans federal and state trial courts, appellate courts, and all forms of alternative dispute resolution. Courtney’s skill in managing intricate legal issues is complemented by her background in corporate transactional matters, including entity formation, drafting and negotiating agreements, ensuring compliance, addressing employment issues, and overseeing litigation management for privately held companies.
Beyond her practice, Courtney actively engages in community service as a dedicated advocate and volunteer for the Public Law Center Foundation of Orange County, helping to promote equitable access to justice for underserved communities. In her personal time, she enjoys travel, fundraising for nonprofit organizations, and refining her golf swing.
