January 9, 2024 (Atlanta, GA) – Hawkins Parnell & Young has been honored with UPS's 2023 Legal Diversity Award. This accolade reflects the firm's continuous and substantial progress in fostering a diverse workplace and its commitment to UPS's corporate objectives. The firm's efforts have culminated in an impressive achievement, with approximately 50% of legal services and management of UPS matters handled by ethnically diverse team members.

The firm is gearing up for the upcoming UPS-sponsored Habitat for Humanity project to build a home constructed exclusively by women for a single mother and first-time homeowner. This is the third year women from Hawkins Parnell will build a home with UPS.

Hawkins Parnell also received validation of its DEI efforts in October 2023, achieving Mansfield Rule certification following a detailed analysis by Diversity Lab. The program incorporates a behavioral science approach that embeds accountability, transparency, and knowledge sharing to broaden opportunities in law firms to those from historically underrepresented groups.
