National Law Journal Names HPY to the 2014 Midsize Hot List

June 4, 2014 – Press Release

June 4, 2014 (Atlanta, GA) – Hawkins Parnell & Young is pleased to announce it has been named to The National Law Journal's 2014 "Midsize Hot List." The NLJ recognizes only 20 law firms ranging in size from 51 to 150 lawyers across the country that "are succeeding at a time when many of their bigger competitors are struggling amid high headcounts and overhead."

The report highlighted HPY for being efficient and fiscally responsible with its "debt-free, cash-and-carry style of business that has set its course for strong growth." In recent years, the firm has had over a 10% increase in the number of lawyers and has expanded offices to Austin, New York, St. Louis, and San Francisco. Additionally, the NLJ recognized HPY's "17 practice areas, and the firm's strategy to intermingle its departments" to provide clients with more efficient and consistent services across a variety of areas.

The NLJ spotlighted the firm's defense verdict by Claire Weglarz in Schildknegt v. Air & Liquid Systems Corporation, et al., a mesothelioma case with over $20 million claimed in damages.
