Matt Barr Receives Defense Verdict for Atlanta Hospital and Nurse

November 24, 2009 (Atlanta, GA) – Matt Barr received a defense verdict in a jury trial completed in front of Judge Fred Eady in Fulton State Court. Matt represented an Atlanta hospital and an individually-named nurse. The plaintiff was a patient of the emergency department of the hospital who alleged that the nurse triaged her but improperly failed to admit her to the hospital. The patient delivered a stillborn fetus on the toilet of the waiting room of the hospital. The plaintiff sought punitive damages in addition to damages for emotional distress.
