GDLA Names Jacob Davis Chair of the Professional Liability Section

June 25, 2026 (Atlanta, GA) – Hawkins Parnell litigator Jacob Davis has been appointed Chair of the Professional Liability Section of the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association (GDLA).

Davis, who joined Hawkins Parnell's Atlanta office in 2024, represents clients ranging from global Fortune 500 companies to individuals in litigation and disputes arising from professional liability claims, catastrophic injuries, and fatal accidents. A substantial portion of his practice is dedicated to defending and advising lawyers and law firms in matters involving malpractice allegations, ethics issues, and disciplinary actions. He also represents professionals in other fields, including adjusters and brokers in the insurance and real estate sectors.

The GDLA is the statewide association for lawyers who practice principally in civil litigation on behalf of defendants, and serves as Georgia's affiliate of DRI. Davis has been a member of the GDLA since 2021.
