Cosmetic Manufacturer Dismissed in Los Angeles Superior Court

April 13, 2022 (Los Angeles, CA) – Hawkins Parnell & Young partner Michael Giaquinto of the Los Angeles office obtained a dismissal three weeks before trial for a cosmetic talc defendant in a personal injury case alleging exposure to asbestos. Unlike the typical dusting powder cases presented in the past, the allegations and identification in the case were based on bystander exposure to women’s makeup products. Michael secured discovery responses and admissions at deposition, which made it impossible to make a case against Hawkins Parnell’s client. Julia Wood and Nykeemah McClendon also assisted on the case.
