Amy Welborn Elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates
October 19, 2020 (Austin, TX) – Hawkins Parnell & Young partner Amy Welborn was elected to membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Amy is an accomplished trial lawyer who has tried cases across Texas, including 13 to verdict. She has defended corporations and professionals in a wide variety of litigation and administrative and government disputes.
Founded in 1958, ABOTA is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges. ABOTA is an invitation-only organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Members must have at least five years of active experience as trial lawyers, have tried at least ten civil jury trials to conclusion, and possess additional litigation experience.
