Hawkins Parnell & Young LLP announced Thursday that it has chosen one of its longtime partners to become chair of its labor and employment practice group.

Matthew Boyd is stepping into the role after more than 13 years as a partner at the firm. He will now lead a labor and employment practice that was started by Ronald Polly, who served as practice chair for more than two decades.
