Madison Gottfredson litigation experience includes premises liability, professional liability, commercial auto, construction accident and defect, wrongful death, personal injury, subrogation claims, products liability, international contract breach, and commercial litigation matters. Madison works with her team to develop successful defense strategies tailored to address the particularities of high-exposure cases.  Her clients include product manufacturers, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and property owners. She also has experience in defending horse ranches, equestrian centers, and horse trainers in equine related matters.

A considerable portion of Madison’s litigation practice includes defending appliance manufacturers in a wide range of products liability matters including personal injury, property damage, and subrogation claims. Madison effectively and efficiently manages all aspects of litigation in matters ranging from pre-litigation through appeals. While strategically approaching complex matters, she works closely with her clients to advance their interests.

Madison earned her bachelor’s degree in history with minors in Spanish and social justice from the University of Portland, and earned her juris doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law. As a member of USD’S National Trial Team, she took first place in the America’s Finest City Mock Trial Competition hosted by the San Diego Defense Lawyers and Consumer Attorneys of San Diego.  Inspired by her studies and civil rights volunteer work, Madison also was the chair of a student organization focused on ethnic and racial equality in which she moderated large civil rights group discussions within the community pertaining to the relationship between the law and relevant racial and social justice issues.

Madison is originally from, and currently resides in San Diego, California. When not helping clients with their legal needs she spends her time with family and friends watching sports, playing golf, listening to music, and enjoying the beach.
