Hector E. Zurita-Cruz

Biography

Hector Zurita-Cruz represents various insurance companies in civil litigation and arbitration proceedings, including cases arising out of catastrophic injury and uninsured/underinsured motorist claims, with a focus on transportation and rideshare companies. Hector’s clients include rideshare technology companies and national insurance companies. He also has experience in representing individuals and businesses in trucking and transportation claims that involve catastrophic injury and wrongful death.

Hector’s considerable experience in insurance enables him to work with his clients to understand the specific needs of rideshare technology companies, insurance representatives, and to accurately evaluate potential client exposure early in litigation. He works closely with clients, tailors his strategy to advance their desired outcomes, and provides individualized guidance regarding the strengths and weaknesses of claims and defenses to develop the most effective defense strategy that serves his clients’ interests.

While working toward his J.D. at the Sandra Day O’Conner College of Law at Arizona State University, Hector served as an Article Editor for the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal. As a member of the ASU Law Trial Team, he was a semifinalist in the American College of Trial Lawyer’s Regional Tournament in Tucson, Arizona. Inspired to make a difference in the San Diego community, Hector went on to volunteer at the San Diego Office of the Public Defender as a law student and was awarded a Pro Bono Service Achievement Award with Highest Distinctions from his law school for his service.

Hector is originally from Othello, Washington and presently resides in San Diego, California. His family is originally from Mexico. He is fluent in Spanish. When not helping clients with their legal needs he spends his time at the gym or by the beach.
