April 23, 2022 (Atlanta, GA) -- Hawkins Parnell & Young is proud to recognize senior partner Evelyn Davis as the 2022 recipient of the Strubinger Award, also known as the "We Prefer to Refer Award", valuing her contributions to the legal industry. Her award recognition was announced during the Association of Defense Trial Attorney's (ADTA) 81st Annual Meeting in Napa, CA, following her induction to the role as President of the organization. She is the first female to receive this prestigious award and the organization's third female President.

"I am thrilled to lead this 81-year-old organization, which is comprised of the best defense trial lawyers in the nation," Evelyn says. "I look forward to continuing to add diverse members and members in the jurisdictions where the organization does not have representation. I am very excited for my meeting on April 19-23, 2023, in Charleston, SC."

The Strubinger Award is named for the ADTA's first president, and is granted annually to a member that demonstrates the organization's commitment to strengthening internal connections and business referrals.

Evelyn's first order of business is creating the Women of the ADTA Committee. Her prior leadership roles including two ADTA Board tenures and membership in the Diversity Committee, Long Range Planning Committee, and the Finance Committee before assuming her current position as President.
