Damon M. Scott

Biography

Damon Scott defends multi-national corporations and employers in a variety of matters involving commercial and contract disputes, business torts, unfair business practices, noncompete agreements, fiduciary duty disputes including derivative lawsuits, property disputes, premises liability, and commercial transportation accidents which result in catastrophic injuries or wrongful death. He defends clients in state and federal court and is involved in all phases of litigation from inception to resolution.

Prior to attending law school, Damon was a commercial lender with J.P. Morgan Chase and Merrill Lynch as well as a transaction services consultant with Grant Thornton. An award-winning educator, Damon also taught accounting, tax, and business law as a college faculty member for more than a decade. For community service, Damon founded the Atlanta Small Business Clinic, Inc., a volunteer instructional resource designed to provide community entrepreneurs with pro bono legal services.

A native of Gary, Indiana, Damon is an avid golfer and a budding jazz pianist. The Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center is his favorite place to be, followed closely by the Blue Note in Greenwich Village.
