Biography

With ever-evolving workplaces, Breshauna Perkins helps her clients stay up to speed and navigate the complexities of labor and employment laws. She is passionate about understanding the unique and individual challenges and nuances of her clients' businesses to achieve critical workplace solutions. She is committed to ensuring that her clients foster and maintain a fair and equitable workplace environment.

As a member of Hawkins Parnell's Labor & Employment group, Breshauna specializes in representing employers in the healthcare, transportation, and logistics industries in discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour, harassment, and trade secret disputes under state and federal law. She is involved in all phases of litigation, including drafting motions, briefs, and trial preparation. Her legal research abilities give clients an analytical edge in litigation.

Beyond litigation, Breshauna also advises employers on a wide range of labor and employment matters, such as accommodations under The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. She has experience drafting drug and alcohol policies and employee handbooks. She is well-versed in handling emerging issues, such as responding to Covid-19 and developing corporate policies for the workplace, remote work, and vaccination requirements.
