Hawkins Parnell & Young Moves Locations in Chicago

July 27, 2020 (Chicago, IL) – Success has driven Hawkins Parnell & Young’s Chicago office to move locations this month. The new office is at One East Wacker Drive, Suite 400, Chicago, IL 60601. Phone numbers will not change with the move.

Since Catherine Goldhaber opened Hawkins Parnell’s Chicago office in 2017, Hawkins Parnell’s team of Midwest licensed litigators has grown to 22, with 8 based in Chicago. In addition to representing numerous companies as national coordinating counsel and trial counsel, the team has successfully resolved over 1,100 cases for more than 50 corporate clients throughout Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, and Wisconsin. It prevailed on its first trial involving claims of over $25 million, receiving a defense verdict from a Cook County jury in 2018.

About the Chicago Based Attorneys

Catherine E. Goldhaber [vCard] Goldhaber is partner-in-charge of the Chicago office and a member of Hawkins Parnell’s Executive Committee. Goldhaber defends corporations in litigation involving product liability, toxic exposures, transportation, and commercial disputes. She handles cases in Illinois, Michigan and Missouri, and manages multi-state litigation as national coordinating counsel and trial counsel. Goldhaber is also a national leader on Medical Secondary Payer (MSP) issues. Prior to private practice, Goldhaber was an Illinois Assistant State’s Attorney. She is committed to civic engagement and currently a board member for the Chicago Legal Clinic.

John J. Kohnke [vCard] A trial attorney for more than 35 years, Kohnke defends corporations and government entities in state and federal litigation involving high-risk toxic exposures, environmental issues, product liability, and catastrophic accidents, including traumatic brain injuries, paralysis, and wrongful death. Kohnke also advises and defends employers in employment matters. He has extensive experience in the manufacturing, construction, and transportation industries.

Jenni L. Young [vCard] Young defends businesses and premises owners in personal injury cases and specializes in complex product liability and toxic tort litigation. She serves on national coordinating counsel and trial teams for multiple corporations defending claims throughout the country. Young has also managed the Illinois dockets for several Fortune 500 corporations and has extensive experience in all phases of litigation involving disputes in state, federal and multi-district proceedings.

Daisy Denizard [vCard] Denizard advises and represents clients in complex litigation, insurance issues, and risk management. As national coordinating counsel and local counsel in Illinois and Wisconsin, she primarily defends corporations in litigation involving mass torts and toxic exposures to asbestos, talcum powder, and a range of chemicals. She also focuses on managing litigation and developing trial strategies. Denizard has extensive experience in an array of high-exposure and high-profile matters, including commercial litigation and disputes, business torts, environmental, Superfund/pollution, cost recovery, insurance coverage, premises and product liability.

Matthew Dowling [vCard] Dowling defends insurance and corporate litigation matters. He has experience in a broad range of commercial litigation, including defending transportation and personal injury claims for airlines and premises owners. Dowling has appeared in state and federal courts throughout the United States. He also serves as local counsel in Illinois for a Fortune 500 company defending against TCPA class actions. Dowling also has a broad range of experience handling employment issues and disputes for companies and has extensive experience in all phases of litigation.
