Hunt v. Collins
Plaintiff sued the Defendant as a result of injuries suffered when the deck at Defendant's home collapsed during a party. We represented the Defendant, who had no knowledge of any alleged defect in the deck prior to its collapse. At the close of Plaintiff's case-in-chief, the Defendant moved for directed verdict. While the Defendant's motion was pending, the parties settled for a nominal amount less than Plaintiff's claimed medical expenses.
