Partner H. Lane Young, II Passes Away

June 14, 2018 (Atlanta, GA) – It is with deep sadness that Hawkins Parnell & Young announces the passing of our beloved partner and dear friend, H. Lane Young, II. His loss will be deeply felt within the firm as well as among his professional colleagues and many friends across the country.

Lane practiced law at HPY for over 41 years, earning a reputation as one of the country’s finest trial attorneys. Specializing in toxic tort and professional liability matters, Lane tried more than 100 cases to verdict and argued several landmark cases before state and federal appellate courts.

Perhaps more important than his significant legal accomplishments, Lane was a wonderful person whose compassion and selflessness were unrivaled. The HPY family grieves the loss of our great friend and mentor. Lane was a lawyer’s lawyer. By his shining example of professionalism and decency, Lane inspired many to become not only better attorneys, but better people. Although Lane has passed, his impact on all who knew him will not fade.
