Rob Gilbreath to Argue in Supreme Court of Texas Regarding Criminal Contempt Finding
Rob Gilbreath will be arguing a case in the Supreme Court of Texas on October 12, 2010. The appeal arises out of a criminal contempt finding for perjury during a deposition, and the issues include whether the Supreme Court has jurisdiction to grant mandamus relief and whether the party charged with contempt was afforded due process before being found guilty. The Texas Supreme Court grants review in approximately 12% of all cases appealed to it. Hawkins Parnell & Young, LLP represents the petitioner in this matter.
